The Inheritance
A scientist is dead. His secrets aren't.
About This Experience
Your distant uncle Nickolia Vandershaff died in a suspicious lab fire, leaving behind rumors, unanswered questions, and a will that names you specifically. Now his attorney has called you to the study in his home, where hidden instructions, buried secrets, and a mystery that refuses to stay buried are waiting. Our most challenging room, available in Chattanooga and Nashville.
In downtown Chattanooga, you arrive at the study of your late uncle, Nickolia 'Nicky' Vandershaff, with more questions than answers. He was a scientist, intensely private, deeply devoted to his work, and suddenly declared dead after a fire tore through the downtown lab building owned by his employer. The authorities identified the remains. The family was told the matter was finished. But the timing, the silence before his death, and the rumors surrounding his work made the whole story feel wrong from the start.
Then an old postcard appeared - nearly twenty years late - warning the family that if anything ever happened to him, you were to wait for a call from Charles and trust no one else. Soon after, supposed federal agents began pressing family members for information about Uncle Nicky's movements and dealings. No one mentioned the postcard. This morning Charles finally called, summoning you to the study for the reading of a will that names you specifically. Now, inside this downtown Chattanooga mystery, your team must piece together what really happened, discover what your uncle was trying to protect, and complete whatever final instructions he hid before 'they' arrive.

“We visited the Escape Experience Chattanooga on a double date and we chose the inheritance. This was mine and my spouses first escape room. 10/10 recommend. We had such an amazing time!! Kudos to our host Joseph!”
“We had an awesome time! The Inheritance was challenging, creative, and genuinely fun from start to finish. The puzzles were really well thought out and kept us engaged the entire time. We escaped with 43 seconds left, so apparentlyHenry was feeling generous 😂. The staff were great, the room was well put together, and the whole experience was a blast. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for a fun escape room experience!”
“This was our first experience with an escape room and we wanted to try our luck with the most challenging one! We completed "The Inheritance" with less than a minute to spare! Every detail was perfectly thought out and just when we thought we had it beat we were faced with another challenge. The hour flew by and we enjoyed the creativity of this escape room. The host was super sweet and helpful. We will definitely be back to take on the rest! Highly recommend.”
